Schaefer

Schaefer guitars are made by Fred Schaefer. His archtops are absolutely beautiful. His woods are gorgeous and in addition to the traditional tone woods, he will use woods such as walnut. Absolutely beautiful. Fit, finish, tone, playabiliity, these guitars have it all. He also makes solid body guitars. I believe he has stopped making archtops. The time and material cost to make an archtop was just too daunting for him. I was fortunate enough to meet him and he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Really dedicated to his craft. If you ever get a chance to play or buy one of his archtops, definitely do it, don’t miss the opportunity.
